Migration Phase
  • Migrate to BW4HANA / BOH
  • Identifies inconsistencies with data models, corrects the programs and made them compatible with target BW system including Code, Security, and Data Models.
  • In addition, it identifies functional changes and automatically updates process impacts.
Post Migration Phase
  • Continuous Upgrades, Landscape transformation, Consistency Checks and Data Maintenance tool. For acquisitions, mergers or integrations HANEYA will help with data transformations.

  • SAP BW/4HANA is SAP’s next generation data warehouse solution. It is built entirely on one of the most advanced in-memory platforms today – SAP HANA. It provides a simple set of objects that is well suited for modelling an agile and flexible layered architecture of a modern data warehouse.
  • SAP BW/4HANA manages all sorts of data, whether from SAP applications or other systems, structured or unstructured, and allows accessing of all models through an open SQL interface. SAP BW/4HANA comes with state of the art user interfaces for administrators, developers, and end users as well as completely SAP HANA-optimized processes.
  • The core functionality of SAP BW is preserved and the transition to SAP BW/4HANA can be compared with the transition of SAP Business Suite to SAP S/4HANA. As part of this transition, SAP BW/4HANA will drastically reduce the number of data objects.
  • SAP has re-architected its solution for modern data warehousing processes that the ever-increasing digitization of the world demands.
  • It is possible to prepare for the system conversion to SAP BW/4HANA by already adopting the future target capabilities in the classic SAP Business Warehouse powered by SAP HANA.
  • Many of the changes are purely technical and will have no or only limited impact on people’s work; therefore, they will not trigger business change management. Such changes will be mandatory when converting a system to SAP BW/4HANA.
  • Custom code is BIG! This code has grown over time. In addition, handling of different types BW objects is the heart of HANEYA solution during the Migration.
  • Supported SAP BW/4HANA packages and add-ons (and no other software) shall be deployed on an SAP BW/4HANA installation. Details are provided in SAP Note 2189708 “SAP BW/4HANA Add-On Handling and Usage”.

BW Custom Code Automation

  • Though Haneya has 4 modules above, our focus for BW/4 HANA upgrade is on Technical Code Remediation. Other three modules will come into play during BW/4 HANA conversion
  • HANEYA tool identifies conflicts to perform upgrade from BW 7.X to BW/4 HANA version

  • HANEYA will identify the conflicts for the programs/ fields at the database level. During migration HANEYA will also make changes Database table settings to make them compatible with BW system
  • HANEYA will identify any conflicts for migration from BW 7.x to BW/4 HANA for validation and testing
  • During migration HANEYA will resolve these conflicts by updating the conflicts or replacing conflicting statements in programs, reports and interface with BW/4 HANA compatible statements
